Losing weight is a challenge at the best of times, calling for a high degree of mental resilience.

However, if you begin to develop a belief that losing weight is simply an impossibility for you, or that you will never achieve the weight loss you require no matter how hard you try, then you are competing not only with your eating habits, but also with the power of your own mind.

I have worked with many clients for whom a belief in the impossibility of losing weight has become, in itself, an obstacle to the possibility of doing so. There are several common signs that this is happening.
  • Feeling incapable of doing what’s needed to lose weight, or feeling that you just would not be able to beat a particular food or alcohol addiction that contributes to your obesity, are both common.

  • Being concerned that your general health is being endangered because of being unable to lose weight (or the concern of a healthcare professional about this) is also a sign that this has become an issue.

  • Enduring social embarrassment (about difficulty in finding a partner, or clothes to fit, or being judged by others) is a sign that trouble with weight loss has become something you might need help with.

The Hypnodieting program worked really well for me as over a 2 month period I was able to gradually change all my bad habits and turn into the person I had always wanted to be. I now enjoy food and am in control after years of feeling like food was in control of me. I now love myself and am working towards being a thinner me but I will still be me.
