COVID-19 Anxiety. If you’re suffering, get in touch.
How Covid Anxiety may be affecting you.
- Domestic confinement stress has been apparent for people of all ages and in all circumstances, as a result of having endured excessive space-sharing with partners or other close family members for weeks on end, sometimes resulting in tensions and conflict.
- Anxiety about the future also appears to be
common. With employment, business and educational opportunities being uncertain, and many households having used up savings during lockdown, anxiety over short, medium and longer term security is completely understandable.
- Fearing the virus itself is understandable, and of
course due caution is indeed called for. But it has
been common for people to report specific anxiety and fear over the possibility of contracting Covid-19, enduring a harrowing illness or even succumbing to the disease.
- Being anxious about leaving home seems, predictably, to be extremely common. After being largely confined to our homes for many weeks of guidelines, news bulletins and statistics, and having legitimacy for not venturing outside, many people are now finding the outside world , with the apparent added danger of the virus, inducing anxiety or even panic.
I have really enjoyed our sessions and wanted you to know that you have helped
me to reach exactly where I wanted to be – to feel peaceful and content, and able
to feel and enjoy the fullness of life – from the easy moments to the challenging
ones…. 9 months ago I believed it was possible, but I did not realise it would feel
this good to be alive, and so quickly too.
