Snake phobia gone!

"A year ago I would have never thought I would ever be able to face a snake let alone hold one!

There was a point in my life when I did let the phobia control me. I would not walk in certain areas if I thought there were snakes but I was lucky because my encounter with snakes are few and far between compared to some people who face their phobias in everyday life.

Over the years my phobia got worse, and at one point I missed out an entire page of my GCSE Biology mock purely because there were two pictures of snakes to compare.

To anyone who has a phobia however big or small I would really urge you to give getting help a go because it helped me and the sense of achievement is incredible. Thank you so much to Paul for all the help in achieving this, I really could not have done it without you!"

Mindfulness

Hi Paul,

I thought I would let you know that I started to concentrate on Mindfulness meditation yesterday and it really helped. When I went out for the day I continued to bring negative thoughts back to my breathing whilst I was walking etc and managed to keep letting the thoughts go in this way the whole day (even though inevitably at times it was a struggle not to start ruminating further). I think this is the best strategy for me as it is gentle and takes me away from the tendency to frantically fight my thinking which we both know only induces more panic. I feel more confident in my ability to get better after yesterday as to opposed to thinking I have to rely on the pills. I will continue to concentrate on this technique today.

I picked up a lot of bad eating habits over the years – I’m sure many of us do. The Hypnowellness sessions have helped guide me back on to a better path and have given me the personal resource to stay on that path. There is a great sense of freedom gained by no longer being subject to overwhelming and unnecessary cravings. Coupled with sound nutritional guidance, these sessions have given me more confidence about my future health than I would’ve thought possible before I started them.

Dear Paul

As promised I have eventually got round to writing to you.

Hypnodieting has changed my life. I feel happier than I have in years and I know it is down to the first idea of Hypnodieting, if you love yourself everything else then becomes so simple.Because I now love myself I look after myself and make sure I have something healthy to eat every 3 hours and also make sure I drink plenty of water during the day.

Because I am eating properly I am no longer tired all the time and want to go out and do more and this means I am doing more exercise. Because I am now my own best friend I make sure if I have a bad day I don’t beat myself up and the give up I just give myself a talking to and carry on towards my goal. Because I now know I am worth it I do not agree to everything and feel obliged all the time and then feel put upon.

I know to make sure I only do the things I want to and do things I am asked to do with good grace. This means I have much more time for those I love and this has not only improved my relationships with my family it meant due to having a much better work/life balance I am much more productive in my job as I no longer feel stressed and overworked. I have learnt through the program how to deal with my bad habits and trigger points and now make sure I do something else rather than just eat.

The way that the Hypnodieting program works by each sessions introducing another new idea worked really well for me as over a 2 month period I was able to gradually change all my bad habits and turn into the person I had always wanted to be.

I now enjoy food and am in control after years of feeling like food was in control of me. I now love myself and don’t feel guilty that I am overweight as I know I am working towards being a thinner me but I will still be me. I am no longer stressed at work and sleep so much better.

I have a goal to my life which I am working towards and know each day I am a step closer.

I just wanted to drop you an e mail to say that I am well. It’s been about a year since I lost my marbles. It’s obviously a time of reflection for me, when I look back and see how far I have come. The one thing that I found truly special about you, is that in the first session I met you, you hit the nail on the head. I had absolute faith that you were someone who could really help me. "Hi Paul

I hope you are well.

I just wanted to let you know how my holiday went! I was extremely surprised that on the way there i actually (brace yourself)…enjoyed the flight! The way back wasn’t as good, but I think that was my fault as I did not listen to the audio and I think I put too much pressure on myself to make sure that I would enjoy it – which slightly backfired.

I will continue to listen to the audio before I travel to get me ready for the flight and I think it will also just take a bit of time getting used to not being scared any more.

Hi Paul
I hope you are well. Just thought I would let you know how I got on with my fear of flying following our sessions.
Well in the 4 weeks of our holiday we completed 8 flights, 4 of which were over 10 hours each, with the remaining 4 being anything between 2.5 hours to 7 hours.
I coped with all of them and only had a slight wobble on the the last one which quickly disappeared. I can't say that flying is now my favourite thing but at least it is OK now!

I'd like to thank you for helping me to get back to being me by giving me the 'new set of tools' that I have and continue to use and refer to to get through each day at a time.

2015 has been a landmark year for me and you've played a huge part in my acceptance & willingness to clearly see it for what it is in the most positive light.

2 weeks ago I presented a PowerPoint presentation on slides to senior management at work and 1 week ago I stood up in front of a room full of wedding guests and read a poem at a friends wedding. A year ago I'd have run for the hills!

I hope to check in and see you in the new year to continue some maintenance of what I've learnt as 2016 will be another big year due to my own impending nuptials and a slightly higher profile in the work place. I will be in touch.
